Fr. Kevin Maloney (Blessed Sacrament,
Syracuse) dribbles past Chris Abbe, of HCA.
The first ever MIB soccer match got off to a
great start. The first goal of the game was scored when
Fr. Cleophas Tuka (St. Margaret's, Mattydale) put a diving head
ball past the Holy Cross goalie. After the early lead,
however, the Men In Black found themselves in a tie game after
two amazing goals late in the game by the Crusaders of Holy
Cross Academy. The match was settled by a shoot-out, which
the Men In Black won 3-2 on a goal by Br. Keegan McDermott, a
seminarian for the Legionaries of Christ who is doing pastoral
work in the Syracuse area.

Fr. Clephas Tuka also played goalie for
the MIB
Bishop Cunningham and the Men In Black

Look for the Annual
Basketball Games coming in December.
One of the most energetic programs offered by the
Office of Vocation Promotion is the annual Men In Black
basketball game. The priests and seminarians of the
Diocese of Syracuse take on parish teams in a great game of
basketball.
